Celebrities, like other professionals, are an integral part of a functioning society but celebrities, unlike other professionals are revered by the common man. Their life is public and is a source of influence on the society. This is a responsibility that is often sidelined. To shoulder such a responsibility one needs to be aware of consequences of their actions. Luckily, Pakistani celebrities have always stepped up in times of chaos.
The problem of Covid-19 is not new to any of us. For those of you watching news, you know how serious a threat this corona virus poses to us and to our loved ones. For those of you who don’t know, Corona virus is a group of viruses affecting humans since a long time. MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome) and SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) both are caused by corona viruses. Covid-19, this right here is another strain of virus from this family but is comparatively highly contagious. Due to contagiousness of this virus, it has spread rapidly. To the extent that in march 2020 WHO characterized this as a pandemic.
Now some intellectuals in our surroundings believe that this is just a hoax and nothing to be afraid of. To those geniuses, we would say that this virus is very real and can potentially kill you so it’s extremely important that you listen to doctors and government. Coming back to the topic, Pakistani dramas have always been a source of great inspiration among the Pakistani society. TV celebrities working in the drama industry, same as celebrities working in the Pakistani films came together to give a powerful and unbiased message for the greater good of society. This was great, right?

The video ends with anwar maqsood reiterating on the fact that maintaining personal hygiene and that of our surroundings is utterly important. This video not only shares the common message of awareness but also tells people how to react to this situation. For many of us, this COVID-19 is a new virus and we don’t know how to deal with it. This video is a call to action and helps people understand what to do in this situation.
We believe that such videos and acts are imperative to controlling further spread of virus. This is a job well done and kudos to the entire team working behind this message. Let’s all hope and pray that more of us start to think and act like this.
